Made from a comprehensive selection of the best grapes from our own vineyards of over 80 years old. Due to the excellent climatic conditions and the equally important good quality of grapes, supported by a careful control of the whole making process, we have been able to create this wine. For these reasons and thanks to the contribution made by a rigorous aging process in American oak barrels, this especial Gran Reserva wine has been highly recognized and awarded the MUNDUS VINI DER GROSSE INTERNATIONALE WEINPREIS GOLD MEDAL and 2005 MUVINA GOLDEN MEDAL in the International Wine Competition Presov/Slovakia. TASTING NOTES Very intense cherry colour with ruby glints, clean and bright. Elegant and spicy nose, with hints of fine oak and ripe fruit (vanilla, toasty, cacao and black plums) coming through. DO Ribera del Duero, Spain (85% Tinto Fino, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Albillo) 750 mL TASTING NOTES Morello cherry red with a good depth. Elegant nose, intense primary aromas of soft fruits well offset by spicy notes of weathered wood characteristic of a rigorous aging in American oak which nonetheless do not overshadow the fruit character. Powerful mouth, fleshy, very luscious, rich and silky, with lovely tannin structure and acidity. Intense in retro-olfaction, with fruity aromas, balsamic, liquorice, coffee etc. The pleasant flavours of the aftertaste are particularly noted on the finish as sensations are still intense and invite immediate drinking. Barrelled-fermentation period 24 months in American oak barrel of typically one-two years old and medium-heavy toasting.   RD22.

High-toned fruit aroma comes first on the nose but gradually it merges into highlighting hints of toasty, liquorice and chocolate, which lead to a great expression of aromas. Round mouth, with a concentration of varietal intensity on the palate, well-merged oak and fruit tannins, luscious, structured and balanced. Lingering finish. This wine is the winery’s youngest red and is positioned to appeal to a similarly young market demanding modern and fresh flavors and aromas. The design of the label represents our humble home, it is a work by hipperealist painter Luis Perez whose work has been displayed in prestigious galleries in the UK, France, Germany, Japan and the USA. The name of the wine recalls its familiar tradition, now that the 5th generation of winemakers at Dehesa de los Canonigos is a present reality. DO Ribera del Duero, Spain (100% Tinto Fino) 750 ml Aged in American oak for 24 months TASTING NOTES It is made with the best grapes from our vineyards, and only from the years of superior quality. The production is classical: vintage is made by hand, fermentation takes place under controlled conditions, and after maceration of the wine with the skins, a slow pressing is made without stirring. Aged for a minimum of 20 months in French and American oak barrel. At sight is clean, with high-depth red maroon colour. At nose it is intense, with notes of sweet spices, roasting and minerals, all of them very well combined. The palate is powerful, rich and complex, with mineral and, roasted hues, and mature tannins, all very well integrated. Long in the mouth. Serve between 16º and 18º C. TASTING NOTES With a stay of five to seven months in American oak barrels, it presents a bright red colour, with violet hues. At the nose it is intense with floral and red fruits aromas, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is broad, tasty, spiced, with a fruity retro nasal. Serve between 14º and 16º C. DO Bierzo, Spain (100% Mencia) 750 ml Best Value Mencias by the New York Times September 2013 RECENT REVIEWS Dark plum and berry aromas hit with oomph and are accented by toasty, minerally notes. This Mencía is balanced and nicely textured, with blackberry, prune and licorice flavors.
