Castel de Fornos Albariño

DO Rias Baixas, Spain (100% Albariño) 750 ml “Bright and clear, the color of hay with a glint of green, Castel de Fornos is a high intensity wine with a torrent of complex aromas. First come the floral hints (gardenia, rose, orange blossom) then the fruit (apricot, orange peel, honey) with a background of herbs (laurel, anise, mint). The bouquet is that of a wonderful English garden.” ~Guide to Wines, Spirits and Wineries of Galicia (2013) RECENT REVIEWS Apple, melon and a dusty scent of white pepper get this round, apple-driven Albariño going. Pineapple, lime and orange flavors are solid and finish with a note of almond skin and bitter citrus pith. Drink immediately. 87 Points. — Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast (8/1/2015) AÑ03.

Brandy Real Tesoro

DO Jerez, Spain 1.0 L HISTORY The history of one of today’s largest Sherry houses dates back to 8th March 1760, when King Carlos III of Spain wrote a letter officially appointing His Excellence, Don Joaquin Manuel de Villena, lieutenant-general of the Spanish Royal Armada, as the ‘Marques del Real Tesoro’.   This title was bestowed on Don Joaquin by the King as reward for his victory when his fleet was attacked by pirate ships. In order not to lose any Crown treasure that his ships were carrying, Don Joaquin used silver from his own inheritance order to make munitions. It was on his triumphant return that the King rewarded him with this title.   In 1897, the title of Marques Del Real Tesoro, which was left unspoken for, was bestowed by King Alfonso XIII, to the grandson of the first Marques, who founded a brand name after his title MARQUES.
