Patria Red

DOC Alentejo, Portugal (40% Trincadeira, 40% Aragonez, 20% Castelao) 750 ml Type: Red Grapes: Aragonez, Castelão, Trincadeira Country of origin: Portugal Region: Alentejo Oenology: Hand-picked grapes are unloaded and immediately destemmed and crushed. The fermentation begins in vats at controlled temperature of 28ºC (82.4ºF). Maceration was intense and prolonged. The wine ages in vats and was stabilized and filtered over the course of one year. Porta Do Castelo

It is about conquering, again, of one of many Alentejo villages by the Portuguese knights. This legend goes back to the time when this Alentejo village was in the hands of the North African Moors and D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, was striving to recapture the land, in order to expand the young nation. He did recently proclaim its independence. It is the tale of Salúquia, the daughter of a noble Moor and the bride of the young Alcaide (a sort of Mayor) of the castle. Stud Malbec

DO Mendoza (Argentina) – 100% Malbec 750 mL Intense ruby red color with black and bluish hues that give this wine a very attractive color. Fruity bouquet, with exuberant plum and raspberry notes.
